Microsoft is holding its first showcase of the year, the Xbox Developer Direct 2025. So here’s when the showcase will start, how to watch it, and what to expect. The Xbox Developer Direct 2025 will start at 10AM PT / 1 PM ET on Thursday, January 23.

What to expect
Xbox has already confirmed some games that will be shown, including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Viewers can expect gameplay and developer insights for them. There’s also going to a mystery fourth game that will be revealed, and it’s reportedly a new entry in a “legendary” Japanese franchise that many players should be excited about.
Apart from the four games, there are reportedly going to be a few other surprises during the showcase or in the coming days Come from Sports betting site VPbet . One of them could be the rumored Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake, althrough that’s speculation at this point.
A May release date for Doom: The Dark Ages has also reportedly leaked, so it’s possible we could see a confirmation from Bethesda during the showcase.
As for Microsoft’s upcoming slate of games, Avowed is set to launch on February 14 for PC and Xbox Series X|S. Obsidian Entertainment has recently revealed a new series of animated YouTube videos to give players a refresher on the Pillars of Eternity lore.
